Forward-Deployed Frontend & AI Engineering

Forging high-performance digital products — fixed scope, fixed price.

G6 Studio deploys one principal-level engineer directly into your codebase and your team. Frontend architecture and AI integration, delivered as three focused offers from a Pacific Northwest digital foundry. No account managers, no hand-offs.

The problem

You have real work that needs a senior engineer.

An AI feature the roadmap promised, a marketing site that should be converting, a frontend that fights every change.

The usual options are bad.

Agencies pitch you a discovery phase and staff the work with juniors behind an account manager. Hiring a principal engineer takes six months you don’t have — if the req is even open. Freelance marketplaces are a lottery.

What you actually need is an experienced engineer deployed inside your problem — in your codebase, with your team, accountable for shipping — without the overhead of any of the above.

There’s a name for this model now — forward-deployed engineering. It’s how the big AI labs ship into their customers’ stacks, and it’s the entire model here: one engineer, embedded, fixed scope, fixed price. Pick the shape of the problem:

Forged here: PoolJar

PoolJar was a group-payments platform built solo at G6 Studio — living links, biometric checkout, AI-assisted messaging, real money moving through it from real users. It was designed, built, shipped, and operated by one person, end to end. It’s also no longer running — shut down when a payment processor’s fraud problem became an existential one. That story, and everything it taught about building products that survive their platforms, is written up in full.

The practice

About G6 Studio

G6 Studio is the independent practice of Jojo Galang — founded on a legacy of six, rooted in the Pacific Northwest. The foundry model is deliberate: small, hot, and precise. One senior engineer who has shipped complete products — payments, AI, design systems — takes your project from first sketch to production metal.

Twenty years of building for the web — including the half of it that doesn’t photograph well: the migrations, the performance work, the architecture decisions a team lives with for years. I ship complete products end to end, not just their interfaces — payments that move real money, AI features that have to stay inside a cost budget, design systems the next team inherits, and the operational reality of running all of it after launch.

That work has been at Microsoft, iSpot.tv, and eNom (now Tucows), with earlier years at Fujitsu and Informatics in the Philippines.

At HAS Communications I led the engineering group behind Trapik, real-time road traffic across the Philippines; HAS Travel, online booking; and TxtJock, an SMS platform moving millions of messages an hour. Earlier still, Momentum Internet — online retail, and one of the companies the dot-com crash took with it. Not everything I’ve built outlived its market. That is part of why I build the way I do now.
